What is considered an emergency?

 Ask yourself these questions to determine if you should text emergency services:

• Does someone around you require immediate medical attention?
• Is there a fire that poses a threat to life or property?
• Is someone posing a threat to life?
• Is there an intruder in your house?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, call or text emergency services immediately. 

Do NOT text emergency services in these situations:

• Filing a noise complaint
• Traffic accident without injuries
• Stolen vehicle
